I enjoyed painting and drawing along to the Portrait Artist of the Week series, airing on Facebook Live during the lockdowns last year and early this year in Britain. All of the sitters were really interesting people, and as well as the chance to paint them, it was fascinating and educational listening to the conversations between the sitter and featured artist – and the wonderful Joan Bakewell. No wonder the series has now won a prize. Here are some of my efforts.
